New Year message from the Liberal Democrats

Sarah Di Caprio's New Year message
"I'd like to wish all constituents in South West Surrey a very happy and peaceful New Year" said Liberal Democrat Parliamentary spokesperson Sarah Di Caprio.
"2008 is going to be an exciting and successful year for the Liberal Democrats, both locally and nationally. The election of Nick Clegg as our leader provides a renewed focus for the party and the issues we stand for. I was delighted to welcome him to our Annual Dinner in Haslemere in 2006 and then to play host to Chris Huhne in late 2007. Nick also spoke to our members recently in Eashing when he attended the Guildford Annual Dinner.
With the party firmly behind Nick Clegg, I look forward to welcoming many new members to the Liberal Democrats and campaigning on key issues throughout 2008. We have challenges ahead with holding both Surrey and Waverley Councils to account and ensuring our residents receive a fair deal and improved local services. I look forward to taking on that challenge and working on your behalf."
