Commenting on the new Executive announced by the Tory administration, Cllr Ken Reed said "By increasing the Executive from nine to ten members, the Conservatives are already costing Waverley Tax Payers more money."
Sarah Di Caprio, Liberal Democrat PPC for South West Surrey noted "The disappearance of the East Street Portfolio as a stand alone position must worry the residents of Farnham. It has been relegated to a bit part, and we must expect the worst. The potential, with such a large majority, to nod the application through Planning, is very real. As the originators of the contract, the Conservatives could well scale the development back up to over 320 flats."
"Portfolio Holder for Climate Change Overview doesn't seem a very dynamic title. We don't have time for lethargy, we want real local action" added Cllr Celia Savage.
