Lib Dems roll out new play areas in Waverley

The photo shows the newly refurbished play area at Ockford Ridge, Godalming. The new play area is now open for use and it is hoped that the multi-use games area will open in the middle of March.
Waverley has received the tenders for work on the refurbishment of other play areas across the borough, including Broadwater play area, and once these have been assessed a timetable of work for these play areas will be released.
Lib Dem Cllr Byron Grainger-Jones, portfolio holder for leisure says: "It is gratifying to see this substantial area of work moving forward so successfully - in the case of Ockford Ridge, with cooperation from the local community. Given the large number of play areas within Waverley, it is vitally important to create a common standard across the borough, and to provide play areas that are both exciting and secure."
