Housing development proposals for the Farnham Hospital site on Hale Road
will be the subject of Waverley's next development control consultative
forum on Wednesday 22 February.
The forum will take place at 4pm at Waverley's council offices in Godalming
and will provide an opportunity for local residents and other interested
parties to find out more about proposals for the site.
Those attending the forum will hear from the applicant, Bellway Homes who
will outline their proposals for the site including layout, housing design
and public open space. The forum will then provide key invited stakeholders
with an opportunity to put forward what they consider to be the main
issues. This will include representations from Waverley, Farnham Town
Council, Farnham Society and Westbury Gardens Management Co. Ltd.
Councillor Patrick Haveron, chairman of the forum and Waverley's portfolio
holder for planning and major projects, says: "The forum process is so far
proving invaluable to the planning process at Waverley as they are helping
to raise and address many important planning issues. These pre-application
discussions will enable Bellway Homes to shape their planning application
in a more informed way by listening to the representations made at the
meeting."
Members of the public may attend the meeting to listen to the issues raised
but only invited, relevant parties are allowed to comment and raise
questions. Any member of the public wishing to comment on anything said at
the forum can write to Paul Falconer, Waverley Borough Council, The Burys,
Godalming, GU7 1HR and have their comments passed onto the developer.
The forum will be webcast via Waverley's website www.waverley.gov.uk to
enable anyone interested who cannot attend the meeting to view it live or
at their own convenience.
