Tenants across Waverley have been urged to make sure they have their say and vote on the future management of their homes.
Tenants will soon receive their ballot papers from the Electoral Reform Services asking them whether they wish Waverley's housing stock to transfer to the newly created, not for profit organisation Weyfold Community Homes.
Councillor Gillian Ferguson, Lib Dem leader of Waverley Borough Council, believes that each of Waverley's 6,000 tenants should exercise their right to vote. She says: "Once the ballot papers are sent out the future management of our tenants' homes is in their hands. It is clear that our tenants want to make their own decision about stock transfer. Therefore, I encourage every single tenant to make the most of this important opportunity by completing and returning their votes.
