Simon Cordon and Andy Rayner aim to abolish the unfair Council Tax
Today the Liberal Democrats announced nationally their costed financial strategy, and local campaigners decided to spread the word around the constituency.
Simon Cordon took the message to Ockford Ridge with local Godalming Town and Waverley Councillor Andy Rayner, who is also standing for the Surrey County elections. The Liberal Democrats national policy of a local income tax will deliver real savings to many low income and elderly residents of Godalming, and South West Surrey.
Andy Rayner said "As someone who works as a sheltered housing manager, I realise what a huge difference we can make to people's lives by simply axing this tax".
