Simon talks to Providence Place residents
Simon Cordon spent Wednesday teatime with the residents of Providence Place in Abbey Street, Farnham. Simon thoroughly enjoyed the chat and question-and-answer session, which lasted into the evening. Residents raised a wide range of issues including pensions, healthcare, theatre in Farnham, imports and exports, immigration, and post office closures.

They were very interested in what Simon said on the Liberal Democrat policy of abolishing charges for 'personal care' for the elderly. This policy is already working successfully in Scotland, where Liberal Democrats are in power.
An issue of particular concern to the residents was the bus network, which is again under threat.
Simon led the campaign to save evening and weekend buses when they were axed by Conservative-run Surrey County Council last year. He is currently raising a petition to stop this year's cuts that will leave whole areas of our towns and villages with no buses at all.
