Simon Cordon and Charles Kennedy at Milford Day Centre. They both are calling for long-term care for the elderly to be free on the NHS.
The Liberal Democrats have launched a campaign to secure free personal care, as well as nursing care, for the elderly. The pledge will be a central part of the LibDems' health policy in the manifesto for the General Election.
Commenting, Charles Kennedy MP, Leader of the Liberal Democrats said: "Before the last election, Tony Blair said he did not want to live in a Country where the elderly have to sell their homes to pay for their care. Now the Prime Minister is ignoring the recommendations of its own UK-wide Royal Commission. Labour is selling out and forcing the elderly and frail to sell up".
